digital purchases
check a duplicate app charge with your ai agent.
two charges with a similar app-store description do not always mean the same purchase was collected twice. your ai agent can help match receipts, accounts and settled payments before preparing a request for a genuine extra charge.
identify the purchase behind each charge.
search receipt emails using the date and amount. compare the order reference, item and account used. check whether a family member bought something, whether the transactions cover different renewal periods, or whether one is still pending.
show your ai the relevant records without sharing passwords or full card numbers. let it organize a short comparison with the date, billed item, receipt reference and payment status. if one receipt is missing, that is a question to resolve before requesting a duplicate-charge refund.
use the platform that actually collected payment.
an app can bill through its developer, an app store or a website checkout. the download location alone does not tell you who can refund the purchase. follow the receipt to the right official process.
for purchases billed by Apple, its refund instructions explain finding the right receipt and account, requesting a refund and checking the result. they also distinguish pending charges. use the corresponding current support instructions when another platform billed the purchase.
a job for your ai agent
copy this prompt.
ask me for receipts, account and access history. check my app-store, game or digital-purchase receipts for the same purchase charged twice. match the duplicate payments, find the platform’s refund process, and prepare a request for the extra charge. describe the purchase and usage honestly. check the platform's refund rules and prepare one accurate request; do not claim nonuse if content was consumed.
describe the duplicate honestly.
identify the one extra settled payment you want reviewed and explain why it duplicates the intended purchase. include the matching receipts or transaction references. do not say content was unused if it was used, and do not select a refund reason simply because it seems more likely to succeed.
keep the request reference and decision. cancellation of a subscription and refunding a past charge are separate actions; check both if you need both. a submitted request or an approval can still precede the money appearing on the payment method.
check the next statement for the correction and avoid submitting the same request repeatedly while it is being reviewed. recurring household-account overlaps are covered in our duplicate-bills post.
give your ai agent another useful job.
